TRIUMPH SPORTS CAR CLUB OF SOUTH AFRICA 2012 NATIONAL GATHERING
26 APRIL 2012 UNTIL 1MAY 2012
PLETTENBERG BAY

The Triumph Sports Car Club of South Africa is hosting the TSCCSA National Gathering in Plettenberg Bay from 26 April to 1 May 2012.

It is confirmed that 82 vintage Triumph Sports Cars and some sedans, (dating back from the 1950’s to the late 1980’s). Cars will include the full TR Sports Car range, Triumph Spitfires and Triumph GT6’s, as well as Triumph -TR7, Stags and Chicanes. Approximately 182 owners and enthusiasts will attend this bi-annual event. All participants are required to reside in the self catering residences at the River Club adjacent to the Piesangs River. This event has attracted a large audience of spectators from the local communities where Nationals have taken place in the past.

Participants will attend, after travelling from all the major centres in South Africa, as well as from neighbouring states and Europe. This event offers an ideal opportunity for local vintage and classic vehicle enthusiasts to view these magnificent machines and reminisce on bygone days and their motoring experiences.

The Organising Committee has organised the 5 day event, which will include i.e. The Welcome Function at the Plettenberg Bay Angling Club; a Triumph procession through Plettenberg Bay; Concours, (car display of both d’Elegance and d’Etat cars), at Old Nicks, a Mystery Run in Plett; A Driving Skill test at the Pick and Pay Shopping Mall, a day trip to Knysna visiting Frost Brothers, Mitchells Brewery and a car show at the Knysna Waterfront and then final Prize-giving and Dinner Dance).
